A young fellow in the midst of cutting up in the library, was approached by the librarian.
"Please be quiet," she said, "the people around you can't read."
"They can't?" said the boy. "Then what are they doing in the library?"

#9 of 23 Things
I looked over both Zoho writer and Google Docs, they seem to be about the same. I could see where this would be usefull for anyone who may do some work from home and pull up their documents online. Rather than carry them home with you. Just pull them up on your computer at home and work on them, making changes and saving it, etc. I could see school students doing this also from home. To do their homework on-line and print it out at home or at school. If there were a time where I knew I would have to work on a document from home, I would use these and I think it would be great. Thing #9 is done.
#8 of 23 Things
This one was fun. I did a picture trail, as seen below. The pictures I used are my personal pictures. My dog, backyard, pictures of my daughters trip to Washington DC. and others. I have looked at Big Huge Lab before, that looked like it could be fun too. I looked over and took the tour on eFolio Minnesota, this would be great for students, educators, and career seekers. Setting up your own personal portfolio and have it on the web for job seekers and employers that are looking for the perfect person for their business. Done with #8 of 23 Things.
#7 of 23 Things
Communication tools. Email - I have a few email addresses I keep track of. Work email, a couple personal emails, and our family email. I use my emails most days. Easy way to keep in touch with my daughter at college and my close friends who live around the US. I wish my parents had a computer and I could communicate with them by email, but I do not think they would know how to work a computer. They are not into all the new technical gadgets. The phone is good enough for them. Ha! In my work emails I have sent complete files and documents as attachments. Instant Messageing (IM) - I use IM for talking to my daughter. I have also used it on some web sites when I am ordering something and need help finding it, or have questions about it. It is nice to get your answers right away and not have to wait for a reply by email or the telephone. I have not ever been in a chat room. When IM with my daughter and she needs something she can not find, I have sent web site addresses and I have also sent her pictures. She has also sent me pictures and web sites by IM. My daughter and I have done live picture feed from her computer to my home computer. We both have cameras on top of our computers. After she got settled into her dorm room, she took the camera and went around the room so I could see what it looked like when it was all in order. So that is a really fun thing to have, I can see her as if she is in the room with me. Text Messageing - I have sent messages to my daughters cell phone from my IM account. I however have not mastered the text messageing on my own phone. I need to sit down some day and just learn it. Web Conferenceing - I have watched a few web seminars and I have also taken a short course on Web Junction on learning Access. It is really an easy way to learn something new and you can do it when you want and where you want. I really enjoyed that. So again, I use email and IM most days and I really enjoy using them. They are so much faster and you can answer your emails when you get the information you need and when you have the time. So now #7 of 23 is done.

#6 of 23 Things
OK, I think I did Things 4, 5, and 6 kind of all together. I did alot of playing around with Flickr - added fun pictures, banners, my own pictures, etc. I cropped my pictures and added them to the blog. I then framed a picture and added it to the blog. I then made a banner, in motion, and added that to the bottom of my blog. So, now I am done with Things 4, 5, and 6. Also, I changed my avatar today. Think Spring!! That warm weather has to get here soon!
#5 of 23 Things
More fun with Flickr. I did alot of playing around with Big Huge Labs and Flickr. I added the picture Think Spring and framed it, also added it to my Flickr account. I have had fun playing with photos, changeing the size, color, brightness, sharpness. I did some of that on KK's poem picture before I added it to my blog. So now I am done with #5 of 23 Things.
#4 of 23 Things
OK, I am back to work on the 23 Things some more. I watched the video about Flickr and I set up an account and had fun looking at all that Flickr has to offer. I downloaded a bunch of my personal pictures to the account. And I also tagged them. I felt kinda weird letting the public look at my pictures, so I set them up so that only I and my family and friends can view them. The photo below is one that I have on my account and loaded it to my blog. This one was fun! SO #4 of 23 Things is now done.
